Title: Estimation of Brain Connectivity Using fMRI and Mathematical Graphs
Abstract: Functional brain connectivity can be measured from BOLD fMRI recordings using graph representations incorporating inter-regional similarity of time courses. In this talk we will address some fundamental properties of graphs making them suited to describe underlying connectivity structures of the brain. We will also see examples of techniques used to construct graphs from functional MR images, and how these techniques relate to classical time series analysis (i.e. Principal Component Analysis).
